just done a system restore & it took the PC about 2 hours to complete the restore.
When I've done this in the past I'm sure it took no where near that amount of time.
Anyone know why it should have taken so long, or point me in the right direction as to what might be wrong with my pc, what to  check for, or recommend any diagnostic programmes I could run.

It depends how far back you are restoring to, and how fast your machine is, and How many things have changed since the date you are restoring to. The more recent date, the faster time it takes to restore.

Matt

I'm sure that MTIH1992 is correct, but it usually takes about quarter/half an hour on my PC (and I do it quite a lot lately!), great way of getting rid of those pesky virus thingy's from dodgy downloads!  Mind you I've never gone back more than about 2 weeks.
