Windows 10 Start Up Password

I have one lappy with Windows 10.

When I turn it on, it insists on asking me for my Microsoft account password.

Can I get rid of that so that, when I turn it on ... it just comes on?

Yes. Go to settings/Accounts/Your Account Click the bit that says "Sign in with a local account"
