Email Forwarding Not Working On Virgin Email 'updated' Site

FAO Canis_lupus or any other poor soul enduring Virgin's latest improvements.....
I've set up email forwarding from my Virgin account to my gmail account, but the changes aren't being recognised.
'Support' was a youngster in India who hadn't a clue.
My question is, has anyone else experienced this problem, and did you find a work-round?

I do have my email with Virgin but because I'm a 'simple' soul I keep it without any rules. I use Office Outlook to keep control of my emails anyway.

Just had to go in and set some rules because Virgins spam filters are not working or banjaxed
