Not Messaging On Ipad Mini

Yes settings wifi is on. The messages logo, green with a white speech bubble. Might just switch off and switch on again, see if that works .. Any more help please?

Try Settings/ Messages/iMessage On/Off

Thanks, tried that, switched ipad off and on again, switched messages off and on again in settings. Could it be a problem with the person I am trying to message?

Did you try to send a message and you see Exclamation mark icon with an alert saying Not Delivered?

Tap Exclamation mark icon and try to send your message again.

Make sure that you're using the right phone number or email address for the contact.
ThennGo to Settings > Messages > Blocked and make sure that the contact isn't on your block list.

No I am always messaging this person, my son in fact, always OK before .... In fact OK yesterday ...

Delete the conversation that has the issue and start a new conversation:
Open Messages and look at your list of conversations.
Swipe from right to left on the conversation you want to delete. Then tap Delete.
Open Messages, tap , and enter the phone number or email address of your contact or contacts.
Write a new message and tap send.

Hi again, I can send mesages to other people, thats fine. I tried to put my son's email address in and his name went red, it wouldn't accept the email, although I have always used this email for him when I message him. Sorry not easy to explain.

Don't know if this will work but try...go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage, this way your messages will automatically be sent as texts, but beware you still won't receive messages others send to you as iMessages.
