What Is 'app Hang B1'?

I'm halfway through typing in my answer on this site and my screen freezes. I can't recover what I've typed in already and I have to start again. This is what the App hang B1 message is.
What is it and how can I avoid it as it's really getting on my nerves now.

Which device are you using? A Windows PC? (If so, which version of Windows?) A Linux-based PC? (If so, which distro?) An Apple Mac? An Android phone or tablet? An iPad? Something else?

Which browser are you using? Internet Explorer? (If so, which version?) Chrome? Firefox? Safari? Dolphin? Something else?

If you're using a mobile device, are you accessing the 'full' version of The Answerbank or the mobile version?

Have you tried a different browser?

I did some maintenance on my PC this am. I restored internet explorer to default, downloaded the latest LAN driver for my motherboard. I checked my HPET settings and did a little adjustment cmdedit /set useplatformclock true.
I uninstalled a program called Win P cap 4.1.2 that had appeared in my program list and de-activated a Canon web page printing app that was slowing my online performance down. So far so good.

My PC is faster but I'm still getting freezing screens on-line. I installed Chrome and no problems since then.
