I have got AV1 on the top left hand corner of my screen and cannot remove it, if you have any ideas I would appreciate it.

That will be your TV not Sky, need to tell us the make & model and someone will be able to tell you how to switch it off, it's just saying what source you're viewing from.

Press the 'i' button on your remote.

The display is turned on or off by pressing the button marked with " i+/[?] " near top left of remote on most Sony Bravias.
