CD's not detected but MP3 CD's are OK

My laptop is not finding the CD's but picks up MP3 Cd's. Any clues?

Make sure you connect to the internet before you put the cd into the player. Also go to My Computer and right click on your cd drive and choose properties.  On the next screen select the Autoplay Tab and choose the program you want to automatically open the CD. Hope this helps.

You could also check the settings in your media player to see that autoplay is ok and connection to the CD database is setup.

when you say cd's I assume you mean music cd's ?

if you can,try a different brand.Some are not compatible.
