I am using Gmail basic ( I find basic better for my needs than standard) & am getting between 20 & 30 emails in my spam box every morning which I am having to delete individually because I cannot find a way of deleting them in bulk. Does anyone know a method of achieving this please ?
Why are you bothering to delete them, they have been identified as Spam and will disappear from the Spam folder after a set time (can't remember with Gmail)
1) Click the "Spam" link along the left side of any Gmail page. (If you don't see "Spam" along the left side of your Gmail page, click the "More" drop-down menu at the bottom of your labels list.)
2) Select the messages you'd like to delete and click "Delete forever".
3) Or delete everything by clicking "Delete all spam messages now".
I use Gmail, when I click on spam there is a blue line above the first spam message which says delete all spam. Clicking on this it asks OK and clicking on this deleted all spam in one go.
Thank you Ellipsis, however because I am using gmail basic nothing appears for me to click '' delete all'' I am having to tick them all individually & then click delete all.
Thanks guys but all of your answers refer to gmail standard version. Non of the solutions work with the basic version. Because I much prefer the basic version I am at a loss to get anything to work with regard to spam mails. The only option I appear to have is to tick each individual item to remove them & with over twelve hundred I am rapidly losing the will to live.
