Volume Control On Acer Aspire Es 15

Well, I think that's what I've got, it says that on the label by the touchpad.
I'm venturing into this strange (to me) bit of AB because I learnt - a few weeks ago and by dint of advice by AB 'Archers' fans - how to listen to a missed episode. It was great! It was quite loud, but that was OK.
This evening I tried to listen to yesterday's episode and it was almost silent. I pressed the loudspeaker button (brave of me) and discovered 11 bars so I clicked up to the top - I still couldn't hear it, I can't get it past an inaudible 11. I've turned it on and off a few times, but nothing happens. Help, please!!

Jourdain, if you can't just see a speaker in the bottom right corner, click something that says "show hidden icons" ;) Baths x x x

There are two volume controls. The application volume control, and the system volume control,, which work together to supply the final volume.
The system volume control should appear on the task bar at the bottom right of the screen. It is graduated from 1 to 100 (0 is mute).
So, if the system volume control is set to (say) 50, turning the application to full volume will give you 50% of the maximum volume.
