Problems with wireless router

Hi all. I had a speedtouch adsl modem and everything was fine. But i recently had to buy a wireless router to share a connection to the net. But, now, if i start edonkey (file share program), my web browsers stop working, i cant send/rec email or log onto MSN. If i close edonkey, they still dont work until i restart the computer. Could there be a port clash somewhere? Any ideas?

Unlikely, I am assuming that the modem is USB as it came from BT, I would get rid of your USB speedtouch ADSL Modem, if you have one,  as they are dangerous to novice users and get yourself a multi port ADSL Modem Router.

If you clean your computer up first this will resolve a lot of problems your are having
