I hope Fender agrees with me. Hold-fire on what he has suggested and first of all get-shot of the items which Malwarebytes has indicated are Not required in your Computer. Personally, I would get rid of all Pups and anything that has been quarantined. However, it now a matter for you to decide if there is anything you wish to retain from the Malwarebytes Scan; otherwise clear-out all of what Malwarebytes has discovered. After all, you can always re-download anything you may remove and wished you had kept.

Downloading Malwarebytes hasn't fixed the problem at all !
What annoys me about this bloody nuisance is that when it pops up, this loud, stentorian American female comes on and tells me to download, etc, etc.
I still can't see why Norton doesn't include this in its list of nasties.
I did consider taking the route that ivor suggested yesterday, but, to be honest, it looks rather labyrinthine and I am not sure if I want to take the risk.
Is there no other, easier way to deal with the Universal Driver Updater ?

If Malwarebyte hasn't found the location of the offending item then I can only suggest that it should be fond in your list of programmes and must be manually uninstalled from there.
I am assuming your new PC is operating on Windows 10.
Click into Control Panel, Click open 'Programmes and Features'. Look down list of programmes for Universal Driver Updater and right click it, then click uninstall to remove it completely. Finally give another Scan with Malwarebytes then switch off and re-boot the PC for changes to take effect.
