I have purchased loads of tracks to play on my iPad. Now,l want to make my own CDs from the collection to play in the car.
What is the easiest way of doing this? Or, has Apple deliberately made this awkward?
Thanks

You have to sync a PC or laptop with iTunes, to burn a cd.

Redownload them to itunes (don't need to pay for them again)

Make a playlist and copy the tunes into there (eg. 1 cd at a time) then burn it.

Download itunes to your computer and sign in with the same apple id and password that you use for itunes and the app store on your ipad.
