Today I received two vouchers totalling £50.55 from a company called Windsor mint so as to purchase a special 24 caret gold plated 50 mm diameter Houblon £50 banknote commemorative strike, plus a wristwatch worth £9.95, all for the total cost of £6.94 inclusive of £1.99p&p plus the £50.55 vouchers.
The main catch is that the stuff they flog is worth very little...the watch is probably a quids-worth from China and the "commemorative strike" is 24c gold-PLATED....ie very little gold involved.
The other catch...once you accept, you will be bombarded with "offers" from them and many other similar companies.
Years ago I was lucky enough to win ownership of a time-share - but only 50% and I would have to purchase the other half.
A few days later my mum got the same letter. I got in touch with the company and asked if the two half wins would mean that we had actually won a whole time-share between us.
