I don't think the Duke was there. Her visit was unannounced but a crowd quickly developed outside and she was clapped and cheered as she came out of the hospital
Just a point.
When the Queen came to the bedside and spoke to the patient, the parent/parents just sat in the chair beside the bed and even when spoken to by the Queen, still remained seated.
I felt that this was bad mannered and disrespectful, in that they could have at least, got to their feet.
mikey....of course it wouldn't have made any practical difference, but to me good manners always scores highly and indeed does make a difference. After all it was the Queen.

For all we know Sqad, they may have been told to stay seated, and anyway, I am sure they would have had more worrying things on their minds, than protocol!
