How can I enter website short cuts to Desktop in Windows 10. Have tried many ideas but so far unsuccessful.

Go to the relevant web page. Make your web browser window less than full size (so that you can see some of the desktop). Click on the icon which is immediately to the left of the 'www' bit in your browser's address bar and drag it onto your desktop.

Right click on the wallpaper, select new / shortcut. Put the URL as the thing to run. Save.
