stop videos popping up on some sites, especially the Daily Mail sports page, and when I click the X in the top right corner, it just keeps coming back.
There is, but I wish they would explain in a more understandable way, as some instructions are just double dutch to me
The videos are mostly news about this and that on the D/M, and hide away some of the other stuff I am reading.
Will have another go at trying to read the jargon.
I sometimes use The Mail website including the sports section. The videos that you highlight will not be blocked by any ad blocker. They are embedded in the web page and usually take up the bottom right corner. If you scroll up you can easily read what you want to. You may also notice that the pages are edged again with the Mail's chosen banner ads. Again you will not block them with "normal" browser and blocker. The only way would be to load your pc with Tor or one of the specifically designed, to be secret and private, browsers. Not recommended unless you are particularly techie. Dark web and all that.
If you use Sky sports or Fantasy Football sites you get the same to some extent. You will also occasionally be asked to tick accept their specific cookies other sites will not get past a blocker unless you specifically let the blocker let them run for the same reason. ABP calls them "Whitelisted" and you can do this in options on the blocker page. You can call this up by clicking the blocker icon top right and choosing options.
No TRT. You only have to whitelist a site when the blocker will not allow it to load. If the Mail is Getting through though you will have to accept their embedded content. ie videos and side banner ads.
