Colour settings?

I was in the midst of playing a downloaded game, when my computer rebooted. When windows loaded up it was showing only 16 colours. I tried changing it on DESKTOP-PROPERTIES but it just wont change back to 16bit. I have no system restore points either. The monitor was bought last week second hand, it worked fine to begin with. Help help help.

If you only have the 16bit option available it sounds like you need to reinstall the graphics card drivers ,usually from a cd.

Hi joey,  first point is forget the monitor it's got nothing to do with that,  As mickey said re-install the graphics card driver,  but many problems occur because the original drivers are old and getting out of date for the newer games etc... it is always a good idea to go to the website of the graphics card manufacturer and download and then install the latest driver for your card.
