o2 pay as you go mobile and unsolicited third party text messages from 84449

My daughter has unwittingly apparently subscribed to this service which is for 16+ only she is significantly younger than this who are they and where do they operate from they are charging her (me) �1.50 each time 3 times per day.

Any help please they need reporting to police and trading standards

Oftel or O2 might have some advice. Failing that, O2 send out free pay as you go cards every now & then, from adverts on the internet. They let you have a few at a time so if you get the same situation again, you could just bung the old ones at little loss to you.

try sending a txt message to them saying stop or contact her operator and they will give u the number to call to be taken off the list hope this helps

these stupid text servcies are now required by law to notify of how to stop them so check her 1st message which should say at its end how to stop them.it usually is a case of simply txting 'stop' back to the sender.i fell foul of this when my son was on a monthly contract.the fool subscribed to one and before i knew it he had a dozen or more texts from them all at premium rate.back then the law wasnt in place so i had to contact vodafone direct and get them to stop them for me.
