i'm trying to burn a film onto vcd yet it seems to be the biggest pain in the butt ever. cant seem to find software to do it. have nero but its seems to read the file as over 700mb when its defintely not. any suggestions would be helpfull!!

.avi files need to be converted to .mpeg to burn to VCD. Nero does this as part of the process, but an mpeg file tends to be larger than the corresponding avi (a 350Mb file ends up at around 450mb) which could be your problem.

I personally use WinAvi (not free, but good) to convert and then Roxio to burn. (The conversion seems to take a lot less time than with Nero!). If necessary, I split the files with VirtualDub (free).
