Does using a handsfree kit to listen to the built in radio on my Nokia 8310 expose me to the same alleged dangers as those created when using the kit for making phone calls?

I can only suppose so since the thing is still connected and used for the same thing (ie. not as an aerial). However, two years ago, after the realisation that handsfree kits could act as aerials putting dangerous transmissions right into your ear, it was 'discovered' that the effect was largely due to standing waves that formed within the wire. It didn't take long for someone to suggest tying one or two knots in the handsfree wire as this 'should' dissipate any standing waves along it. I'm yet to see any scientific evidence that this effect exists, or can be dealt with in this manner but having tried it, my headaches reduced (psychosematically, or not) so at least I'm happier...
