My daughter has a Bush B320DTR Freeview box, and after having quite a lot of power cuts due to the wind she has found that after the last one, the box will not switch on, and is completely useless. Does anyone have any methods regarding getting the box to work again, she is completely out of ideas.

Checked the fuse?
I have found that it can help if you completely unplug everything (mains leads, scart leads, aerials) from the Freeview box and from the TV. Then plug everything back in as it should be, ensuring that all cables are properly in place. If you have another Freeview box in the house try swapping them over.
Then you'll need to do a factory reset of the box. This will take a few minutes but it will ensure your set up is up to date.
Check fuses.
If it won't even switch on then power issues would be the first thing I'd check.
It might be the aerial connectors that have been moved by all the winds. Has she had the outside aerial checked?
might sound silly but have you checked the mains plug has got power to it ?
