During a game I found that I could make the word TROJAN. When I checked our scrabble dictionary, it wasn't there---when I went on-line to check the Collins "scrabble word finder"site it stated "sorry no word found".-------Yet in the meriam webster site it clearly states "a soldier of troy" or someone who is eager in his/her efforts. Surely it could be allowed? Any ideas people.

It is definitely a word accepted in crosswords.Also it is in Chambers with several definitions.

Strange that it is not in Collins scrabble dictionary as it is the Collins Dictionary:-

I checked the dictionary on one of my Scrabble games and it said 'not a valid word'. I think it's something to do with usually being written with a capital.

Done, shows no word found.Very strange.

That could be it ,if proper nouns are not accepted.

Also Cashier ---I think your point about a capital letter broadly covers the difference (if you have to use a capital in the middle of a sentence it is a proper noun and not allowed in Scrabble)

This article suggests that "Proper Nouns" have been allowed in Scrabble since 2010?
