According to the manual, Voice Recorder is simple to find on my Samsung Galaxy.

It isn't.

The only way I've found it is by typing Voice Recorder into the Google search box on the home screen, and then clicking on the Icon+name that comes up as an answer.

It's supposed to be under Samsung/or Tools/ but it isn't.

Anyone got any ideas of an easier way to get to it?

Ta.

On my S8 it is on the home screen as a shortcut

It is also within the Samsung group on the first page of Apps (alongside the Google group and the Microsoft Apps group). To get to that page you have to go to the home screen and swipe upwards.

Separately, I have downloaded Smart Recorder which does a similar job.

Good luck
as IJKLM says its in the samsung apps folder which is the third folder on your app screen, you can hold the icon down and move it to the home screen as a short cut (this is an s9) on my a5 its in a folder called tools.
at the top of the apps page there is a search bar, if you type voice into that, it brings the app up

On another note, was it you looking for a site that did vegetarian ready meals and did you get sorted - i stumbled over one the other day?

IJK - thanks, that helps, although it is different (of course) on my G3!

Why can't they at least be consistent?

Anyway, what you suggested has helped, so many thanks.

Found the *** in a folder called 'Strumenti' (eh?)

Anyway, there it sits, Voice Recorder. I know the manual says Apps/Tools/etc, but not this phone! And it is definitely a UK model.

Oh well.

Mccfluff: we settled on a site called cookfood.net. Frozen, of course, and not cheap, but cheap wasn't what we were after.

The food? 7/10, 8/10, and a fair selection of vegetarian stuff. All a tad sweet for our tastes (why DO chefs insist on adding sugar to every dish?) A bit under-spiced, too - I added spices to their '2 bean chilli' to get it to our taste.

But I would recommend it. Drawbacks? Not many. It gets delivered in very well-insulated (disposable) boxes, between 6am and 11am, so unless you get up at the crack, you have to tell them where they can safely leave the box.
