I use Avast since I left Kapersky. Seems quite alert and adequate at the moment.

THANKS
Another vote for Avast, very good the couple of years that I have used it. Used to use AVG but the newer version seems to slow the PC down too much.
At one time I used AVG but I found that ir was slowing my computers to a crawl. So I switched to Avast, which I've used for many years now with no problems:

Tried most of them, and settled on Avast.
I'm on Avast as well ☺☺☺
Installing it as I type.
Avast for me too!!!
I just use Windows Defender, mainly because the riskiest stuff I see is Baldrics harem related chat.

It seems adequate.

Defender that is.

Sooo tempted to report Douglass, but it would just come over as petty in the same way as your post does.
Douglas is just jealous, cause he ain't getting any!!!

LOL @ Sharon, why do I believe that?
Cause it's true! :-)
Windows Defender plus MalwareBytes is all you need. Good article here: https://www.safetydetective.com/blog/windows-defender-vs-antiviruses-is-defender-enough-for-you/
'Raises an eyebrow, snorts derisively then moves on'
All you can do, Douglas.
How can anyone advocating Avast (or anything else) know that it is working any better than bog-standard Defender?
If anything on the internet is free, - YOU are the product.
// I just use Windows Defender, mainly because the riskiest stuff I see is Baldrics harem related chat. //

yeah - heady stuff innit? ( PP's prose goes even more wonky than usual - yes wonky readers!)

I think it is impt enough to pay for
ESET very good

warns you when you are on a site and someone (or some - - thing) is trying to access - - - your internals !

I have a flexible extension if anyone is interested?
(just thought I would drag in a Brexit mention in case people felt deprived)
// Sooo tempted to report Douglass, but it would just come over yap yap yap//

oh come on Balders you silly old sausage - that was a little bit of fun. Grin and bear it

it is not as tho you woke up and found six men .....
