Is it really worth buying a HD ready tv ,the salesman in the smaller outlets are telling me not to bother,I realise the picture is better on the demo they give you but will the Tv transmission be that good

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.eventually yes, but considering BBC arent trialing it until early 2006 and Sky are only going to do a few channels at a time over the next 2 years it isnt going to get its full use, DVD's that take advantage of HD wont be available until mid to late 06 and then will be a slow roll out of films such as DVD's were from vhs. And the only thing really ready for HD is Xbox 360 that is out in december but then there are only a handful of titles available.
My advice, HD is the future, but i would wait until xmas 2006 before having the future as it will be more popular and a little cheaper then.
