Microsoft Password
4 Answers
For some reason itunes was deleted from my laptop. I am trying to download it but I get asked for my Microsoft account password. The address they show is one I had many years ago. I put on a password I thought it might be but it was refused. They said they would send me a passcode so I put in my present address and received the passcode. However I still received a message saying that the password was incorrect.
How can I get into the Microsoft account when I do not know the password that I had at the time ?

While it's possible to download iTunes from the Microsoft website, which might well require you to log into your Microsoft account, iTunes itself is an Apple program, so you shouldn't need to go anywhere near to your Microsoft account to get it. (Indeed, there's no need to have a Microsoft account at all). Downloading the program directly from the Apple website should be all that you need to do:

However it's worth remembering that the technical press (such as Computer Active and Web User magazines) always include iTunes in their lists of programs which should NEVER be on anyone's computer. It's horrid! MusicBee is far better:

I can think of no reason why you shouldn't see a download dialogue box when you click on the blue 'Download' button on the Apple site (which will then allow you to download the iTunes set-up file). Try again. If that doesn't work, try using a different web browser.
If it still doesn't work, let me know. I'll download the set-up file to my own computer and then upload it to a file-hosting site, so that you can access it from there.
