Have been bought an Apple iPhone 6s (I have an iPad) what I would like to know, can I make a phone book in it to just use the phone? I've got contacts which I want for messages but when I put numbers in there they include sending messages. I want the contacts but I also want to just store phone numbers as in my old mobile phone. Is there a way of doing this please?

I am not sure why you want to? When you pull up the contact, you can choose whether to phone them or message

Hi Woof it's just I like to categorise things and knowing me and lately how bad I am with things I would rather have it where if I need to use phone that's all I will do. Spect it's mad to most but it's something I've been used to until now, I guess I find some change a step too far. Sigh x

Sorry dunnitall, but as far as I know woof is correct, I have the same system, don't find it a problem at all,
Use the “Notes” app.
You can create a contact and just not usr the messaging service for that contact. For example i have “home” as a landline number, but would only ring it and not message it.
