Now that I am watching my TV in my bedroom - I think I would enjoy YOUTUBE in the comfort of my bed watching the old stars and others. Can anybody do this for me. Or can I do it myself.

If your TV has a USB socket for an input, opting to get one of the "sticks" is favourite. My woman bought a Now TV one, opted not to purchase any optional access, IIRC had to cancel auto enrolment before the trial period ended and they started charging. But she has used it very rarely since anyway. Just seen a few catch-ups. Was more of a 'seemed a good idea at the time' type of thing.

No need to buy a smart tv. Buy one of these for £40 and control it from your bed, easy peasy

With the Fire stick that is all you pay £39.99.
You actually only wanted to watch Youtube, but this device will give you a whole lot more. All the catchup tv you could handle and all for free.
If you want to subscribe to other services you can via Netflix, ITV+, Hayu films and box sets etc.. these will give much more than you could ever watch, but all will come with a monthly fee.
But the Fire stick will more or less turn you TV into a smart TV if it isn't already .. all you require is a spare HDMI port.
