i'm at year 8 in a highschool with a deaf education (i have hearing loss but i can hear without hearing aids). My parents said it would be good for me because the deaf staff helps me. i have a sister who goes to another highschool that learns japanese and goes on more excursions (japanese is a language i desire to learn). However this school i go to is awful to my mental health. The students hate me because im a tall girl with hearing loss and i have a different race in my blood. Because of this (and past traumas) i have deep depression and attempted suicide 4 times at age 14. However in this school people are starting to become more nicer, my friends support me and care for me, AND my parents think this is best for me. But i want to go to my sisters school to learn japanese and theres more diverse there (my primary friends are there too). people keep telling me its my choice but i really can't decide, what do i do?
If it really is up to you to choose, then there's no way we can answer not knowing you well enough. You really could do with advice/counselling from someone independent of your parents - is there anyone at either school who could provide such a role ?
