Vcm File Converter
2 Answers
Hi all (especially brenchico !),
I posted this before.
I've some video files in vcm format.
I can't get them to play. Can anyone recommended a file converter please? I've got format factory but it doesn't work with .vcm files.
Thanks all in advance.

Part of the problem seems to be that Google refuses to accept that a .vcm file extension actually exists (other than for a few obscure applications unrelated to playing video files). 'VCM' appears just to be a codec used by some WMV files, rather than a specific file type in its own right.
So all I can suggest is changing the file extension to .wmv, to see if the files will then play in a decent media player (such as VLC). It's definitely a long shot but I've occasionally been pleasantly surprised when I've changed a file extension in the past (without any form of actual 'file conversion') in an attempt to get an errant video file to play.
