Yahoo Mail Not Working
13 Answers
Hi techie abers out there .... our Yahoo mail has decided not to work (everything else is fine, there's no problem with wi-fi/broadband connection). It was working fine earlier and then just suddenly decided not to work .... although we can use it on our tablet and mobile phone. Just can't use it on the desktop p.c. Any ideas folks? I thought it might need updating, but because it's not working, I can't use the "settings" button to do anything about it. Would be grateful for a bit of help, please. Many thanks, cheers, Chox.

Hi again guys, just tried going in again, via favourites but it's still not working. For example, when I am looking at the list of incoming emails in my inbox and want to delete, say, 6 of them, I try to tick the relevant 6 boxes, but the first one I tick (no tick appears) just opens up the email and I can't do a thing then - can't reply, can't delete, can't forward, etc. And I can't even access the "settings" button to see if it needs an update ... any further thoughts ...
What you've described definitely appears to relate a problem with your browser, rather than being anything to do with Yahoo Mail itself.
Clear the cache from Chrome (as above). If that doesn't work, reset Chrome:

. . . or simply try another browser. If you're using Windows 10, you should have both Edge and Internet Explorer already available to you.

Yahoo Mail is currently showing slightly more people than usual having problems with it:

I repeat my suggestion though of trying a different web browser. If Yahoo Mail is working normally in, say, Edge, then you're experiencing a problem with Chrome. If Yahoo Mail won't function properly in any browser though, then the problem is 'at their end' and there's nothing you can do about it (other, possibly, than getting yourself a new email account with a decent service provider - which most definitely excludes Yahoo. It's appalling at the best of times!)

Many thanks everyone, my Y-mail seems to have returned to normal. Appreciate all your help with this .... in the end we logged out and switched off everything overnight, opened up again this morning, and all is fine - but suspect it wasn't just the switch-off. Thanks for all your advice. Cheers, Chox.
