Problem Setting Up New Printer Hp Deskjet 2700

I am used to Epsons, but can't seem to work this one out. I have followed the instructions, but it is not made clear about inserting the ink cartridges My pc accepts it. If I click to print it shuffles through and then stops. It shows symbol of a backward E. when I read the blurb, says open front clear tracking, but it's not that. On the top display there is a symbol of what I think is the two ink cartridges and they show empty. So, I cannot say for certain if they are loaded properly or working.

Have you got them in the right order? eg. black in black, colour in colour?

G'morning Ian....Strange. If you have inserted the Colour cartridge on the left and the Black on the right, and both clicked into place.

Anyway don't for the moment get in a 'tizwaz' because there is help at hand if you consult the doctor. I am being serious and suggest you download and run the following official HP Doctor.

Incidentally, the doctor does Not charge a fee of any sort.

I checked it again, went through the three stages of setting, and still would not work. So I have returned it to the shop and got an exchange, a Cannon, set up straight the way. So thanks for you replies.

G'morning Ian....I am pleased that you were able to resolve your problem by the shop giving you an exchange.

You may have guessed that I favour HP equipment. However, that doesn't mean to say I dislike Cannon.

I think you could well be on to a winner. In fact , if votes were taken in AB, it would be my guess that the result of a poll would be in favour of Cannon.
