2) is a reader that reads 1)
3) is a reader that reads 1) as well as a traditional bar code.

1) is not an app it's what the app reads
you probably just need the QR reader, most of them also read a standard bar code.

2. Code reader is similar to gizmo for credit cards

You might need the app if youre selling/trading.

The QR is a bar code (ab used to have one on site)

You may not need an app at all.

I just turn the camera on on my phone, point it at a QR code and it works automatically.

Try that. If you can avoid installing an app for this, I would, as some of them are quite nasty.
