When they see their trade interrupted by either the activity or inactivity of politicians they find alternatives. I doubt this "airlift" was done simply out of the kindness of anybody's hearts. It would also be nice if you stopped continually referring to those who voted to leave as xenophobes.
What other reason could have caused people to vote Leave? A belief that the EU was heading for a European super-state, owned and controlled by Germany, a desire to trade and restore relationships with other countries, including the Commonwealth, disgust at the way it had treated members such as Greece, Italy and Spain?
