According to the last four census figures there's no-one in Scotland who only speaks Gaelic and 1.1 percent who speak both Gaelic and English.

That's a form of child abuse. Especially when the most common language the world has ever known is available and on their doorstep. Quite breathtaking arrogance and hatred that they are prepared to sacrifice their own children's future.
Don't be so silly, TTT. Nobody in Ireland speaks only Irish. Those of us who speak Irish also have a far, far better command of the English language than you so obviously do. Even my English partner is becoming bi-lingual and loving it.
And believe me...with what we have witnessed over the last few years there is no envy at all....not one bit.... :-)
