Powerpoint Remote Playing Sound Clips

I have a Powerpoint presentation that includes sound clips.

When I click my remote to play the sound, it simply moves on to the next slide.

Is there a way of making the remote play the soundfile?

Perhaps set it to play immediately the slide shows
