Following on from my previous question, I’ve now found out my iPhone is locked into 02 as my friend took out her contract before June 2018. After that time they were provided unlocked. Any ideas how I can unlock it? Thanks.

You will have to contact 02 but please check - the iPhone should have been unlocked at the end of the contract. Pop somebody else's SIM card in from a different network.
Otherwise just phone 02 and they will unlock it for you.

Sounds like a good idea Barry, trouble is other people’s SIM cards do not fit. In settings it is showing Mobile Data Network which normally means it’s locked. Nightmare trying to explain the situation online and 15 min. wait by phone which they seem to want to charge me for on my pay as you go. Think I’ll ask my friend if she can ring them. Thanks for your comments, appreciated.

Update, got that one all wrong, it’s unlocked, looking in wrong place, silly me. Should have looked under General, about, under Network Provider Lock, says No Sim restrictions.
Glad it's sorted for you
