Change Photo Background

I have a lovely photo of my great grandson but the background is terrible. How do i cut him out of the bad photo and place him in a more scenic photo.I've tried following photoshop tutorials but by the time I locate the tool and stuff the guy is talking about he's moved on and I'm no wiser.Is there a simple (idiots guide)free to use program out there for this task.

You could try using an online Artificial Intelligence background remover to get you to an image that has a clear background and then superimposing that image on top of a better one. I use this one. (Don't be put off by the references on that page to pricing. The basic service is free):

The easiest way is to download a free app on your phone called PhotoRoom - it takes 1 minute, automatically crops the original for you and you can choose from a variety of backgrounds, or put your own one it.

Thanks guys. Buenchico, I tried your suggestion and it removed the background perfectly but how do I superimpose him in another background scene?. Do I use the Download option to send it to my computer then somehow open a nice background and just drag him on to it??? Step by step guide would be great. Thank you

Your reference to trying to follow Photoshop tutorials suggests to me that you've got Photoshop on your computer. Assuming that you have, see here:
