Hi Is this a task manager process? Do you have pc-cillin Anti-Virus software installed. If so i think it could be a background process for this program. ie the "p" would stand for pc-cillin. "nt" refers to windows 2000 and xp machines. The "mon" stands for monitor. Not sure about the io. input/output maybe as in floppies e-mail and internet downloads, which anti virus software would monitor. If you do indeed have pc-cillin installed, i would say that this is what pntiomon.exe is. Hope this is of some help. Cheers, Mark
