Talking on the internet

How come I can't talk like I can on the telephone. On the internet using Yahoo its 'I talk you listen' then 'you talk I listen' (half duplex).I have full duplex sound and modem card.

You can !! It's just that Yahoo doesn't support full-duplex chat - but there are plenty of other full-duplex chats or take a look at CoolTalk - it's what I use
