I hav bin given a mobile, the problem is I need a puk code but don't no the number of the fone? how can i unblock it wivout buyin a new sim!!!

the previous owner won't know the PUK unless he/she has had need to use it before and has kept a note of it. the phone's service provider will give you this. they won't give it to you unless the phone is registered to you. doesn't the previous owner know the phone's number? the previous owner will have to instigate a transfer of ownership as any customer service people will only deal with the account holder.

Failing that you could always wire it to your pc(cable/infrared/b'tooth), and refresh the software the phone uses.
