I have recently bought a gps in america. Do I need to download any special software to use It for military purpose in U K.

Depends what you mean.

If you mean "what do I have to do to get the military (enhanced resolution", I'd suggest being a member of the U.S. armed forces as the easy route.

Any GPS unit you buy is fine for navigation, but not really to the standard of the units they use in cruise missiles, for various reasons.
