can anybody tell me how the infrared thing works on mobile phones coz ive tried it and cant get it to work

when you said you tried it what did you try? what phone have you got?there is nothing you can do with the infra red port on its own.you need to maybe find someone with the same phone then both activate your ir's then you can send thing to each,or play games.you can also comunicate with a computer as long as the comp has an ir port and you have downloaded say pc suite,so you can copy all your phone numbers or send sms via your computer.my suggestion is you find someone with the same phone then start there.

ive tried sending pics and stff to other phones my phones is samsung e600 and i tried sending summat to my sisters which is a samsung e350
