Is anyone about who could give me guidance on getting my Google account reset and my g mail up and running again on Samsung tablet. I rely on my email.

Thanks Bobbi. I'll look through that. The trouble is I get everything right and then they add a bit for extra security and ask for another active email address or another mobile phone number. I don't have either!

They’d need that to use if you need them for another reason but can’t use your given gmail, who are you with ? Ie tv,phone internet etc , that provider could issue you with an email

I have gmail but rarely if ever use it. Only have it because it seemed to be required with Samsung devices. I do know they upped security features recently, meaning if I want to sign in, they send a code or something to my phone. It's a pita and another reason not to use it. I stick with Hotmail and Yahoo...my original accounts.

I use email a lot Pasta. Online banking, shopping, doctors, counsellor, etc etc. I'm lost without it. My son who works in communications and IT insisted I stop using yahoo . I still have a yahoo account but I've somehow lost that now as well?

MISS T ask a relative or pal if you can use his or her details.

The e-mail and 'phone number will be used only if there is a issue with your account.

I want to keep my present gmail account though bobbie. How I managed to lose my Google account I really don't know. I got as far as getting a new password and then got asked the extra security questions to confirm it was me.

No not without the extra security measure, i.e. another phone or email address.

Can you not use your son's details for an alternative contact?

Corby. No way. But perhaps my Husbands email address. They don't except landlines.
