computer that talks!

Is there a programme-software that makes the computer talks?? I mean a programme where you can type a message or a text and then the computer speaks it! ??

I know that Windows XP has it built in, as i saw it in action last week. I expect there are standalone programs although i don't know of any off the top of my head. There is also dictation software such as IBM Viavoice that allows you to speak to the machine, and it types out in Word for example what you are saying.

on a website called http://www.steakandcheese.com you'll get one in the exe section. It's called TalkAny i think - its a small program but great fun! (you can change the voice etc)
