I just moved a folder containing 14gb of MP3's from my C drive to my D drive, however my C drive's free space hasn't increased by 14gb, only 4gb. Anyone got a solution ?

Defragment the drive. Additionally, did you move them, or did you copy and then delete them? If the latter, they might still be residing in your recycle bin.
