Dash Cam.

After nearly splattering an off road bike last night,  I've decided I need a dash cam. 

Can anyone recommend one?

I've got a Thinkware hardwired dashcam with front and rear cameras, had it years and it is easy to use and trouble free.  Not noticeable from outside the car

I have Nextbase ones front and back which seem to be quite good.  If you get ones with parking sensor don't have Halfords put them in as they refuse to connect them to a live feed which means the parking bit will not work.  They say it will run your battery down but they are fitted with a sensor to stop them from doing this.

We too have nextbase camera and agree that they are very good. The only drawback with having them connected to a live supply is that they create a lot of "Protected files" which can only be deleted by formatting the card. This means a lot of housekeeping or the card will fill very quickly and the camera will stop recording.

Thanks for the replies. Gone for the nextbase and Halfords are fitting it tomorrow.

Which model have you gone for? Some come with a polarising filter and some don't; if yours doesn't and you find that you suffer fron reflections it's worth getting one. (You can get them directly from Nextbase).

It will prove your not to blame OG. I have one and woth every penny with such idiots on the roads, and more of them taking off after hitting you. Nextbase very good but buy the best you can afford.

We got hit twice while parked so decided to get one with parking mode.  First time we paid ourselves, second we went through insurance as it was going to cost a bit.  Wish we hadn't as although we have protected no claims they still doubled our insurance premium on the renewal.  Gone with someone else now.

I went for the Nextbase 322g. Navigating the Halfords is baffling and I ended up buying something I didn't need...still waiting for the refund 🙏
