Will My Sim Still Work?

Stupidly dropped my phone down the loo. Grabbed it straight away and it was still alive so dried it off with a towel and it seemed ok.

However just went to look online and its now dead.

Probably do need a new one so will go shopping tomorrow but really want to keep the same number.

I usually just change the SIM over when i get a new one but will that still be possible under these circumstances?

Try putting the phone in a bag of uncooked rice. Apparently it dries the phone and just might rescue it.

If you can't get your SIM to work your service provider will give you a replacement with the same number if you tell them what happened

Were I you I'd be more concerned about forking out for a new mobike phone rather than the SIM.

 

With the electronics all shorted out you shouldn't power it again until thoroughly dried out.

Some years ago my phone went for a swim in the cat's water courtesy of my young grandson. Despite the rice trick, sadly, it was terminal. Maybe a cat's whisker got into the doings!
