Windows keeps closing down too soon, eg when I am just reading something on screen, and I have to log on again with my password.  I cant see anything relevant under Settings.  Under Power and Sleep it is set apparently to close down after 30mins. Any suggestions please?

I have had exactly the same problem with my last two work laptops. Sometimes, it can go to sleep, requiring re-entry of password, after as little as a few seconds; other times, it remains "on" for a couple of hours, unattended. Our IT department are completely flummoxed.

Glad its not just me!

But, and its a big but, I might have solved my problem.  I found a very old (2011!) question/answer on Google and they suggested going to Screen Saver Options and unchecking 'On resume, display logon screen'.  So far it seems to have worked, the screen still goes black but resumes if I move the mouse, up to 10 mins so far, without asking for a password.  Fingers crossed!
