Failed Internet connection

My PC frequently fails to make a successful connection to the Internet (NTL Broadband ) and I have to re-boot to access successfully. I have recently installed the free version of Zone Alarm. Could this have something to do with it ?

No, my PC doesn't connect at all sometimes. When it does it works through OK until next time. Cheers.mate..
